We are excited to offer this new format in which students in the Health Services Pathway will share their experiences and reflections as a learner so far this school year.

Pathways students will facilitate the conference from beginning to end and close by discussing their goals for the school year.

Each student has been assigned an advisor. Advisors will share information about students’ progress, including grades, behavior and attendance. You’ll have the chance to ask questions and provide feedback, as well as work with your student and their advisor on goals with action steps.

Why?

Student-led conferences will help your student build confidence as a speaker and learner. By reflecting on their successes and areas of improvement, students are better positioned for academic success.

Your child will prepare for the conference by working with their teachers during class time before the conference. It will be important that you or someone from your family be at the conference to support your child through this process. We know this may be new for you and your child, but we will have an agenda and script for your child to follow and a goal sheet to share.

We think you will be excited to see your child lead the discussion and share what they are learning as a 9th grade student. We can't wait to meet you!
